Research Abstract |
To increase the intake of fish (fish cooking school) was considered the effect of the depression. We studied 22 elderly people who joint fish cooking classes held once a month from 2009 to 2010. In the old elderly (65-74 years old), Zung self-assessment Depression Scale was from 37.4±6.1 points to 31.7±7.7 points (0.05<p<0.1), while old-old elderly (75 years and over) showed no changes. Frequent fish consumption in elderly seems to moderate depression mood.
