Research Abstract |
In this study, we focused on surface modification of Ni-free stainless-steel for novel drug-eluting stents with cell-compatibility. Ni-free stainless-steel was heated in order to control the composition of surface oxides. The surface composition was responsible for the immobilization of silane coupling agent, i.e., γ-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APS). The APS immobilized surface adhered more human umbilical vein endothelial cells than a pristine surface.
