Research Abstract |
I had planned three major goals to achieve. The first one was to organize an international symposium on the French writer Michel Butor : "Michel Butor -A la frontiere ou l'art des passages". Its main goal was to underline the connections existing between Michel Butor's work and Japanese culture. The second goal was to publish a personal book about the influence of Asian cultures, and especially the Japanese one, on some major contemporary French writers (Ecritures nomades : Ecrivains francais et Extreme-Orient). The last goal was to publish a collective book based on the Michel Butor's symposium conferences (Michel Butor -A la frontiere ou l'art des passages).
