Research Abstract |
This study generalizes the standard New Economic Geography model considering capital mobility among regions and vertical quality of varieties, and evaluates various regional policies qualitatively and quantitatively. Specifically, policies for recruiting talented individuals and firms, urban transportation projects, urban development regulations, trade liberalization and protection, resource development, emission credit trading, and carbon-offset programs are examined.
