Research Abstract |
Investigation has been carried out on a novel method of polymer crosslinking in order to prepare novel type of polymer gels. The method utilizes silica nano-particles whose surfaces are modified to have a large number of vinyl groups so that the particles are able to be included in polymer gels as multi-functional crosslinks through polymerization with vinyl monomers in aqueous media.
