Research Abstract |
Soil can act as a sink and a source of methane and nitrous oxide. To distinguish between production and consumption of these gases, I attempted to develop a new, handy analytical method for isotope tracer. Dual labeled N2O is now produced via 15N- and 18O-labelled nitrogen compound, and it is possible to separate N2O production and consumption for a single soil sample.
