Outline of Research at the Start

特に若い原始星L1527について、化学診断を通したエンベロープ・円盤構造の同定、円盤のワープ構造の発見など、独自の手法による成果を挙げてきた。このような初期円盤構造は、原始惑星系円盤で捉えられているリングやスパイラル構造、また、系外惑星における軌道面の多様性の起源の端緒を捉えたものであり、より多くの初期円盤の観測でその一般性を検証することが求められる。数auスケールでの円盤構造の高分解能観測によりこの課題に応えるとともに、多波長観測により、ダスト成長を円盤構造形成過程との関係から解明する。これらを通し、"原始星進化の過程で、惑星形成がいつ始まるか"という問題を提起し、その大要を明らかにする。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、非常に若い原始星(Class0/I)まわりの初期円盤に着目し、波長1mmから2cmの広い波長範囲で最高の解像度(数-10 au)の観測を行い、初期円盤における構造形成やダスト成長の兆候を捉える。原始惑星系円盤のような幾何学的に薄い円盤へと進化する際の厚み変化や、ダストの沈殿の様子、リング構造形成時期、そこでのダスト成長の可能性などを観測・理論・モデル・実験の知見を総動員することで解明し、いつ・どこで・どのように構造・惑星形成が始まったのかを探る。2022年度は主に、動的現象やフィードバックの影響に着目して研究を進めた。①フレッシュで小さなダストがどのようにして円盤に降着しつづける(あるいは間欠的に降着する)のか(モデル:Hanawa et al. 2022)、②ダスト円盤内にクランプ構造が出来た場合に円盤にどのような影響を及ぼすのか(フィードバック)(モデル・観測:Ohashi et al. 2022b)、を明らかにし、③原始星からの放射光が円盤内の放射方向のみならず垂直方向に伝播する可能性の検証(モデル:Okuzumi et al. 2022)を行った。また、アルマ望遠鏡に、CH4やCO2スノーラインを観測する提案書、および、特殊環境下(大質量星周り)であれば原始星周囲における星間塵の組成を気相観測可能となることに着目した提案所を提出した(採択)。一部データが配達されたため、解析を進めた。ダストのサイズや形状が観測スペクトル(ダストの輻射スペクトル)に与える影響については、Spring8を用いた赤外線分光の測定を進めた。

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.

Reason

観測研究は概ね順調といえる。モデル計算研究も想定以上に進展し、論文も複数出版された。他方、放射形分光計を用いた実験については、ウクライナ問題やCOVID19の関係で実験に必要な物品の輸入が一部不可能となってしまったが、雇用研究員らとともにSpring8を用いた赤外線ダスト輻射測定を実施することができたため、ダストの輻射スペクトルの研究も進んだ。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

観測研究は、国際共同利用観測装置ALMAが、本計画開始時にCOVID19の関係で1年以上停止してしまったため、当初立ち後れていたが、非常に若い円盤での塵の付着成長がどのくらい進んでいるのかの詳細観測、および、水やCH4、CO2のスノーライン観測計画が想定より早く進められたため、このまま当初の予定通り研究を推進する。一方、実験については、主にSpring8を用いたダストの赤外線分光測定を進め、ダストのサイズや形状が観測スペクトル(ダストの輻射スペクトル)に与える影響を調査する。その上で、観測結果と比較することで、原始星円盤のダストの組成を明らかにする基盤を構築する。最後に、スノーラインの研究とダストの付着成長に関する研究など諸々の研究成果を融合させ、いつ、どこで、どのように構造形成が始まったのかを明らかにするという目的を達成する。
