Outline of Research at the Start	アイルランド出身の活動家ロジャー・ケイスメント(1864-1916)は現代ではアイルランド以外の地域でも英雄的存在と目され、今なお文学・芸術作品の主題となっている。そうしたイメージがいかにして創造、受容されてきたかを文学、歴史、報道資料など多様なメディアを通時的に調査、分析し多角的に検証する。単なるナショナリズムの枠組みに収まることのない、よりグローバルでクィアな存在としてのケイスメント像を再構築することで、伝記文学や偉人像の創造のあり方、アイルランドにおいてのセクシュアル・マイノリティ表象への影響についても考察する。
