Outline of Research at the Start

近年の欧州諸国の政党政治では、従来の経済的対立に加え文化的対立の重要性が増したことによる対立構造の変化が指摘されている。本研究は、この枠組を福祉国家へと応用し、1990年代以降イギリスの福祉国家をめぐる政党間対立に焦点を当てて分析する。本研究では、「政党間対立構造や政党システムの多元化は、福祉国家の再編の方向性にどのように影響を与えているのか」を第一の問いとし、政党の理念的立場の分析を行う。その上で、今度は逆に「福祉国家再編への各政権の取り組みは、政党間競争や政党システムをどのように変化させているのか」を第二の問いとして設定し、各政権における福祉国家再編過程を分析する。
