Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の目的は、アメリカの小学校(1～5学年段階:6～11歳児対象)では「教科担任制」を実施するために、どのような教員免許制度の下で教員の養成・採用・研修を実施しているのかを明らかにすることである。本研究ではウィスコンシン州の小学校(1～5学年段階)での教科担任制を事例に、①専門教育を行う教員を確保するため、どのような教員免許制度を試行しているのか、②大学でどのような教員養成を行い、③どのような教員採用と研修で「教科担任制」を行う教員を教育するのか、④「教科担任制」実施での懸念(クラス担任による生徒理解が困難となること等)を克服するため、各校ではどのような対策を講じているのかを明らかにする。
