ネットワーク変数を含む社会変数（の推移）と遺伝子変数の関連を分析する。匿名の調査協力者さんたちから採集した遺伝子試料の解析結果とその方々に回答いただいたスマホアンケートの結果との 相関分析をはじめとする統計解析をおこなう。オキシトシン受容体OXTR遺伝子の一塩基多型の一つ「rs53576」のタイプの解析をまずは目指した。SNP「rs53576」のタイプは、AAホモ、AGヘテロ、GGホモ、の三類型存在する。AAホモのヒトほど、Twitterを、する。などといった、興味深い相関が見いだされた。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We investigated whether genetic variables affect people's social actions and consciousness. Gene single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) rs53576 affects Twitter frequency, rs4680 affects smartphone game frequency, and serotonin trance porter gene polymorphism 5-HTTLPR affects "difficulty" awareness. Found for the first time in the world.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
日本初の遺伝子社会学の成果である。日本の社会学史上、はじめて、遺伝子変数が、人々の社会行動・意識に影響を与えていることを統計的にたしかめた。生物学的要因を忌避する日本に社会学界における学術的意義は大きい。遺伝子的要因についての社会一般の関心は高まっている。しかし、その理解は安易なものも少なくない。そのような風潮を啓蒙するためにも日本の社会学者が、学問的厳密性とともに、研究成果をあげた社会的意義はおおきい。
