Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の目的は,教育カリキュラムの改善を通じて学習者の自己調整思考スキルを育成するための原則とガイドラインを開発することである。現在のカリキュラム編成方法は,学習者の思考スキル開発を促進するという21世紀における社会のニーズに対応していない。本研究では,「カリキュラム空間」(カリキュラムにおける認知的,自律的,省察的な思考のための「心的空間」)をカリキュラム編成に組み込む方法を検討する。さらに,深い認知処理,批判的思考,意味理解を実現する思考スキルを学習者が自律的に使うことを促進するため「カリキュラム空間」をどのように活用できるかについても調査する。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

当プロジェクトの4年目(2023年度)の主な目標は、研究成果を実際の教育現場で適用・評価し、それらの成果を広く普及させることであった。チームメンバーは、これらの目標を達成するための研究を継続し、また、プロジェクトの最初の3年間(2020年度から2022年度)の関連する目標を達成するため作業を継続した。成果は以下の通りである:(1)高校教員との協力によるアクションリサーチを行い、批判的思考スキルのさまざまな側面を育成した。(2)大学生が、学んだ情報を統合するために図をどのように活用できるかについて研究した。(3)国際的な編著「教師教育におけるより深い学び」に向けて、異なる学習の側面を結びつける重要性についての2つの章を執筆した(うち一つは幼児教育に焦点を当てたもの)。(4)日本、ヨーロッパ、オーストラリアの大学教員から収集した調査データの分析を継続し、学生の思考スキルを育成するための見解と実践について調査した。(5)高校生を対象とした継続的な縦断調査を通じて、探究学習を通じた自己調整型思考を促進する活動が、3年間で探究スキルと批判的思考態度を向上させ、学力に影響を与えたことを発見した。(6)カリキュラム上で思考するための余裕(スペース)を提供することにより、学生の自律的学習に対してどのような影響があるかをよりよく理解するための研究を行った。(7)日本の学校の教員が、学生中心のアクティブラーニングに基づく学習活動をどの程度利用しているかについての論文を執筆し、それが国際ジャーナルに掲載された。(8)小学校低学年の親子5組を対象とし、どのようなやりとりや課題が子供の興味とより深い学習を促進するのかを理解するためのケーススタディを行った。(9)学生の語彙学習戦略を促進するために学校教員と協力し、その結果は査読付きジャーナルに掲載された。

3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.

Reason

2023年度において、当研究チームは素晴らしい進捗を遂げた。しかしながら、2020年から2022年にかけてのパンデミックの影響で、現在までの進捗は当初の研究計画に比べて若干遅れている。2024年は可能な限り当初の計画に追いつくよう、引き続き最善を尽くす。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

2024年度には、4年目(2023年度)に計画していた研究活動を継続し、研究成果を実際の教育現場で適用・評価し、それらの成果を日本国内および国際的に広く普及させる。また、パンデミックによる制約のために完了していない1年目から3年目(2020年度から2022年度)の研究も継続する。具体的な計画は以下の通り:(1)研究代表者(マナロ)が主任編集者を務める国際ジャーナル「Thinking Skills and Creativity」において、通常のカリキュラム内で学生の思考スキルを効果的に育む方法に関する特集号を編集する。(2)高校教師とのアクションリサーチを継続し、批判的思考スキルの育成に関する調査結果を国内外の学会で報告し、国際ジャーナルに発表する。(3)日本、ヨーロッパ、オーストラリアの大学教師から収集した学生の思考スキル育成に関するデータの分析を継続し、国際学会における結果の報告や国際ジャーナルへの投稿を行う。(4)探究活動において、小学生の自律性、好奇心、問題解決能力を育む方法に関するケーススタディを実施する。(5)監督されていない時間やリソースを効果的に利用できる学生とそうでない学生の個人的な要因について、よりよく理解するための研究を実施する。(6)完了した研究と、2024年度に完了すると予想される研究からの結果をまとめ、国内外のジャーナルに投稿する。
