Research Abstract |
It is widely believed that the world in the 21st century will become multi-polar and multi-civilizational. Based on this understanding, our project team critically analyzed the historical processes through which the existing Westcentric international legal order has been managed, and explored the possible alternative forms of international legal order that may appear in the present century. In this project, we paid special attention on the passivity of Asian nations in the modern history of international law and how that attitude may be changed in the 21st century.
