Research Abstract |
1) We proposed a computational model of the acquisition of the referential meaning and the functional meaning of words, compared the simulation results with human data, and conducted human-robot interaction experiments. 2) Simulation experiments in obstacle avoidance tasks demonstrated that the learning of modules themselves and of the combinations of modules can be done concurrently with a modular architecture which was proposed as a computational model of cognitive development.
