Research Abstract |
Catheter guide images under X-ray during intravascular treatment are two dimensional. This does not provide any information on depth and thus, it is difficult to grasp the direction of the tip of the catheter. To overcome this problem, we have developed a navigation system that provides stereoscopic vision of the inner structure of the vessel during operation. By developing the following three basic technologies, we constructed the navigation system : surgeon's line of sight and point-of-regard measurement method, operational surface profile measurement method, and display method of Inner structure model according to operational surface profile. We verified its accuracy and processing speed by phantom examination.
