| Research Abstract |
In order to consider the formation of the fundamental ideas of poverty, riches, asceticism and social welfare, ancient Alexandria is one of the cities worthy of special attention. In this research I trace the exegetical trajectory of three Alexandrian theologians(Philo, Clement, and Origen) on the theme of poverty and riches in connection with the exegetical method of various ascetic groups, and demonstrate how the fundamental Christian idea of poverty and riches was formed and developed in Alexandra.
