Research Abstract |
This study analyses coastal resource management, activities of rebirth of "SATO-UMI", activities of regeneration of abandoned planted forests, and current movements to create "small economy". The process to generate multiple functions of "SATO-UMI" by various stakeholders' involvements is explained in this paper as well. And also, this study tries to present the re-creation of relationship between forests and human beings by making various sideline business, besides specialization and industrialization of forestry. From this point of view, it is important to develop theories from community-based resource management system or Commons to subsistence activities and "local market" theory.
