Research Abstract |
Door-to-door survey was conducted to 2,000 adults nationwide (response rate 68.1%). Consequently, the consultation rate of acupuncture (and moxibustion) therapy in a month before the surveillance day was 2.2% (4.6±3.7 times/month), of which acupuncture alone was 0.8%. In addition, the rate of who experienced acupuncture in a year (the fallout) accounted for 7.3% (4.2±5.6 times/year), of which acupuncture alone was estimated to 3.6%.On the other hand, the consultation rate of anma (massage) therapy in a month was 5.3% (6.2±7.3 times/month), of which anma alone was 3.9%. And the rate of who experienced anma therapy in a year (the fallout) was 15.5% (5.8±8.9 times/year), of which anma alone was estimated to 11%.
