Research Abstract |
In this research I have found a relationship between Walter Benjamin's philosophy of language, which grasps act of speech itself as response to other or translation of language of the other, and his philosophy of history that argues on another history as rescue of memories, which are oppressed by dominant history, through non-intentional reminiscences. Thorough this theoretical investigation I have pointed out, that encounter with past events is a chance of another history which will be based on remembrance as naming, naming each event or calling other, who underwent it. According to my research this history will be expressed by images as medium of reminiscence, in which events-although they transcend "limit of representation" -will also be remembered, and literary or artistic works generate such images.
