Research Abstract |
Purpose of this research is to investigate how successors in mid-small sized family businesses grow into leaders by themselves. Using quantitative and qualitative analysis, we found that" self-reflection" affects leaders' self-growth remarkably. Through case studies, the process of self-reflection was considered and 5 steps to deepen self-reflection were identified. The steps are 1) To suspend quick judgment 2) To listen to others' voices and the context in which they are speaking 3) To inquire structure of the problems you' re facing 4) To ask yourself how you want to be ; and 5) To initiate new dialogue.
