Research Abstract |
We have investigated nonlinear development of whistler turbulence and its energy conversion mechanism into electron kinetic energy, using plasma particle-in-cell simulations including kinetic effects. Especially, we focus on plasma beta dependence of the whistler turbulence, and found that the plasma beta has an important role to change characteristics of electron heating and wavenumber spectrum of whistler turbulence.
