Research Abstract |
The study population consisted 15 outpatients with chronic schizophrenia and 6 inpatients with acute schizophrenia. The subjective QOL was estimated using WHO-QOL26 and the objective QOL with QLS. Psychotic symptoms were evaluated using PANSS and extrapyramidal side effects with DIPSS. WHO-QOL26 did not show any significant correlation with QLS and other scales, but QLS correlated significantly with 3 scales of PANSS in chronic patients. Scores of positive scale and general psychopathology scale of PANSS decreased significantly between on admission and before discharge in acute patients.
