Research Abstract

Research about the hepatocellular uptake mechanism of non-depolarizing muscle relaxants including vecuronium and rocuronium was performed. HepG2 cells which express Organic Cation Transporter 1 were used to examine if MPP uptake was inhibited by vecuronium and rocuronium. The results suggested that OCT1 was involved in hepatocellular uptake mechanisms of vecuronium and rocuronium. Further research is needed to test if polymorphism affect the uptake system.
