Research Abstract |
Arteriosclerotic vasculopathy in the kidney on 0-hour biopsy sample is a risk factor for lower allograft function. Pre-treatment with ARB on hypertensive donor with microalbuminuria reduced microalbuminuria but could not induce remission of hypertensive nephrosclerosis in the pathological findings. In living-donor kidney transplantation, early intervention by ARBs from pre-operative period in living-donors who exhibit normal-high microalbuminuria is needed to prevent ischemic reperfusion damages.
