Research Abstract |
we investigated the sterilizing effect of fired scallop shells and Surf clam on Enterococcus faecalis and Candida albicans, bacteria that cause intractable apical periodontitis, with the intention of incorporating scallop shells into dental materials for their antibacterial effect. Strong bactericidal effect was obtained fired scallop powder.
