Research Abstract |
This study is to clarify the histological effects of PRP administration and LIPUS insonification during tooth movement of rats. PRP component: The number of platelet and white blood cell (monocyte) increased. The tooth movement in 3-day and 7-day PRP+LIPUS groups was significantly faster than other group. Osteoclast numbers of 3-day increased significantly. Proliferation of blood vessels was also found in both PRP group. Destroyed PDL were observed in PRP+LIPUS group. Histologically there is a possibility that PRP or LIPUS induced the metabolic activity in rats, and therefore, led to the promoted tooth movement. However, PRP combined LIPUS may reduced PDL.
