Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の目的は，共感覚比喩と共感覚現象に関する認知メカニズムとその個人差を解明することである。具体的には①共感覚比喩と共感覚現象の共通の認知メカニズムは何か，②このメカニズムに関する共感覚者と非共感覚者の個人差は連続的なものかを，言語学的な共感覚比喩の調査研究と，共感覚現象の実験研究に基づき解明する。具体的には，①共感覚者と非共感覚者を対象とした大規模web実験手法の開発し，②実験によって，共感覚と共感覚比喩理解の関連性を解明し，③個人差を，共感覚者から非共感覚者までの「共感覚の強さ」の連続体として捉える。これらの成果に基づいて，共感覚-共感覚比喩のモデルを構築する。
