本研究はサウディ・アラビア，アルジェリア，エジプト，シリア，イラン等の中東ムスリム社会で長期にわたり収集された日本人による貴重な現地調査資料を活用して「被調査者参加型の合意形成」に基づくデジタル保存記録に関する国際的かつ超学際的研究を推進することを目的とする．デジタル・トランスフォーメーション（単なるデジタル化でなく，生活世界における美的体験を伴ったデジタルの活用）の確立を通じて，国家ごとの制度設計と中東ムスリム社会全体における標準化を両立させ，個の主体性が最大限に尊重される「文化遺産の共創」を目指していく．

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study is to promote international, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary research on digital preservation based on participatory consensus building by utilizing valuable field research materials collected over a long period of time by Japanese researchers in the Middle East and North Africa such as Saudi Arabia, Algeria, and Iran. Through the establishment of digital transformation, not just digitization, but the use of the digital with aesthetic experiences in the living world, we aim for co-creation of cultural heritage in which each individual is respected to the maximum extent possible, by balancing national institutional design and standardization in the entire Middle Eastern Muslim society.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
学術資料アーカイブとしての課題点抽出の結果に基づき，文化人類学，言語学，歴史学，地理学，映像資料学，考古学，社会学という国内外の学際的研究者，またサウディ・アラビアの行政組織，民間研究所，司法・シンクタンク，そして被調査コミュニティーと対面・オンラインの会議を重ねて，デジタル化が完了した写真資料を中心として，長期現地調査資料の共有を行った．特にサウディ・アラビアの対象社会における写真一枚ごとに地域性，性別，年齢，家族の考え方，教育環境等をあわせて丁寧に吟味しながら，個人選択の判断基準を把握した．その結果に基づき，デジタルアーカイブ「片倉もとこアラブ社会コレクション」を公表した．
