| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究は、豊臣秀吉が没したのち、秀吉のもとに蓄積された人的資源がどのように徳川と豊臣とに再配分されたのか、という課題を設定し、取り組むものである。武将たちの動向についてはそれなりの研究蓄積があるが、本研究ではとくに知識人や芸能者といった文治ブレーンに着目し、豊臣家を継いだ豊臣秀頼を中心とした文化ネットワークを解明していく。特に着目するのが、秀頼が15歳の時に出版した『帝鑑図説』である。これは古活字本として出版され、現在、19の機関に伝本があることがわかっている。これらの史料学的検討を進めることで、『帝鑑図説』の出版に関わった人脈やこれを贈られた人脈などを解明していく。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we set the task of how human resources accumulated under the Toyotomi government established by Toyotomi Hideyoshi after his death in 1598 were reallocated between Toyotomi and Tokugawa. There is a wealth of research on the movements of the warlords of the Toyotomi government, so in this study, we focused on the "bunchi" (civil government) brains, such as intellectuals and entertainers, and aimed to clarify the cultural network centered on Toyotomi Hideyori. We focused in particular on "Teikanzusetsu," published by Hideyori when he was 14 years old. Since it is highly valued as an old printed book and there are several copies in existence, we investigated these books thoroughly and conducted historical analysis to examine the network of people involved in the publication of "Teikanzusetsu" and the network of people who received it as a gift.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究では、秀頼版『帝鑑圖説』を保有する３０機関の伝本調査を進めた。その結果、徳川家康の駿河御譲本とされてきた名古屋市蓬左文庫蔵の秀頼版『帝鑑圖説』は、尾張徳川家が近世後期に古書流通本を入手したものであるという重要な事実を発見した。その結果、秀頼版『帝鑑圖説』は家康の伏見版に対抗しようとするような出版意図はなく、単発の依頼出版であり、帝王たる為政者が独占するべき書籍として出版されたのではなく、広く知識人層に向けて、「勧戒」という儒教思想の受容を進めるべく、絵入りでわかりやすく出版された事業であるとの結論に至った。古活字研究、美術史研究、文学研究など、横断的な分野に研究成果を示すことができた。
