| Outline of Research at the Start |
近年，児童養護施設を対象とした「性的問題行動等」に関する調査により，入所児間で性暴力が生起していることが明らかになった。性的虐待を受けた子ども達は情緒・行動上の困難を示すことが多く，トラウマ経験としての性被害は外傷後ストレス症状の重篤化や長期化を引き起こす可能性があることから，子ども間で起こる性暴力を未然に防ぐことは喫緊の課題である。本研究では，児童養護施設を対象として，「安全な環境づくり」を目指した施設職員を対象としたプログラムと，「児童の性意識や行動の変容」を目指した児童を対象としたプログラムから構成される性暴力予防プログラムを開発・実施し，その有効性について検討する。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study was to develop, implement, and verify the effectiveness of a sexual violence prevention program for children in residential care facilities. A sexual violence prevention program was developed for children aged 5-8 and 9-12 years old respectively, and the program was implemented at five residential care facilities. To verify the effectiveness of the program, pre-surveys, post-surveys, and follow-up surveys were conducted on children and care-worker of the residential care facilities and. were compared with those of a control group. Results suggested that knowledge of private zones had increased only in the intervention group, and that this effect was maintained six months later. Additionally, children’s problem behaviors in the intervention group which was assessed by their care worker had decreased after the implementation of the program.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
近年，児童養護施設における児童間性暴力防止の必要性から，予防プログラムの開発・実施が進められているが，実施している施設はほぼ半数という報告もある。また，施設で実施されている性暴力予防プログラムの効果検証を行った研究も数が少なく，その効果については明らかになっていない部分が多い。本研究では，施設の心理職員と協働しながら，事前に施設職員や児童を含めた施設全体をアセスメントした上で，職員と日常的な問題などを話し合うプログラムを行った。それをふまえ，5-8歳，9-12歳の児童を対象とした性暴力予防プログラムを実施し，一定の効果が得られることは意義があるといえる。
