Outline of Final Research Achievements

This study aimed to explore the disease management behaviors of patients with cardiovascular diseases in a "With-COVID" society and to develop new nursing support tools based on these findings. The research consisted of a literature review and interviews. The literature review revealed a trend toward a shift in the format of disease management interventions from in-person to non-face-to-face methods such as telephone and online support since the onset of the pandemic. The interviews with three patients with cardiovascular disease in the post-COVID society showed that infection prevention behaviors such as wearing masks and handwashing/gargling had become habitual, even after the pandemic had subsided. It was found that, despite having the same disease, patients experienced different symptoms and reconstructed their disease management in diverse ways. This suggests the necessity of developing individualized nursing support tools tailored to each patient's unique experiences and needs.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
