| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究では、移住労働者、すなわちアジア諸国での家事労働などの非熟練労働、日本での技能実習、看護・介護等のケア労働に従事するインドネシア人を対象とし、国への帰還後、地元での新たなライフステージの構築に向けた、自立支援の在り方、労働経験の活かし方を検討する。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In the field surveys and interviews with migrant labor experience, we were able to visit institutions in Indonesia that send out technical intern trainees and specified skills to Japan.The sending and receiving institutions, as well as the local nursing and health colleges, were able to learn about the future prospects and challenges. Furthermore, we were able to confirm that reintegration does not only mean returning home and upgrading their former lives, but that the migrant workers have since progressed to various life stages. There were also cases where workers remained in Japan and worked to build an environment for resettlement.
The results of the survey were presented at the Kyushu meeting of the Association for Southeast Asian Studies in February 2024, and at ICAS, an international conference held in Surabaya, Indonesia, in July 2024, by a panel of members.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
日本でも増加している海外からの労働力、日本では「移民政策」はないとされているが、これらの人の動きとそれにともなう、社会的、経済的状況を知ることは必須である。
特に日本では「技能実習生」「特定技能」という名で受け入れている人たちの定住化に向けて「育成就労」制度がはじまる。定住外国人とその二世の受け入れ体制の整っていない日本社会の課題は大きい。
