本研究は、ヨハン・ゴットリープ・フィヒテ(1762-1814)の実践哲学における「人間の尊厳」概念の体系的解釈モデルを構築するものである。自国第一主義や他者への不寛容の潮流が加速しつつある昨今、そのアンチテーゼとして、全ての人に等しく「人間の尊厳」が備わることを力強く主張するフィヒテの実践哲学を徹底的に検討することは、時宜にかなった課題である。本研究は、フィヒテ哲学の応用的部門である「倫理学」と「国家論」に照準を定め、 彼と同時代の哲学者の学説も比較検討する。ひいては「人間の尊厳」を巡る現代の議論を整理することを通じて、グローバル社会の基盤となる新たな「人間の尊厳」概念を提示する。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The research attempted to clarify Johann Gottlieb Fichte (1762-1814)’s practical philosophy in Jena period(1794-1800), explored his doctrine of human dignity that is grounded his theory of fredom. The fundamental question is: how could man systematically interprate Fichte's conception "human dignity" in his practical philosohy? In answer to the question, the researcher firstly analyzed the structure of his conception "human dignity", secondly claryfied the moral action on the basis of human dignity, thirdly determined the actual significance of his conception "human dignity". Consequently, the research presented that the human dignity is grounded in everyone's free will, and that his doctrine of human dignity is the essential part for understanding Fichte’s practical philosophy as a whole.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究成果の学術的意義は、「人間の個別具体的次元からかけ離れた理性主義的な尊厳概念を展開している」、という従来のドイツ古典哲学理解に一石を投じる仕方で、フィヒテの「人間の尊厳」概念の遂行論的性格を描出した点に存する。また、フィヒテに先行するカントや同時代人のシュミートの「尊厳」理解との連関を明らかにし、フィヒテの尊厳論の独自的性格を浮き彫りにした点にも、学術的意義が認められる。さらに本研究の社会的意義は、「人間の尊厳」概念の普遍性ならびに陶冶可能性をドイツ古典哲学の枠組みで確証したことで、教育現場における理性主導的な「人間の尊厳」概念の涵養の理論的基盤を提供した点に存していると言えよう。
