KeywordsPassive dehumidification / Radiative cooling / Solar heat collection / Humidity control / Hygrothermal control
Outline of Research at the Start

An intelligent building skin system has been developing, which can perform passive dehumidification in summer and solar heat collection in winter by air circulation of the roof ventilation layer utilizing solar heat. The passive dehumidification and solar collector (PDSC) envelope system controls thermal load (latent heat load due to dehumidification in summer, sensible heat load due to radiative cooling in summer and solar heat collection in winter) using renewable energy on the external walls and the roof.
