| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究の目的はデジタル時代の建築資料をアーカイブする方法を探求しその実践例を示すことである。従来の近代建築アーカイブズは図面・スケッチ・書類・写真などの紙媒体資料と建築模型を主に扱ってきた。しかし建築の設計プロセスがデジタル化された現代ではデジタルデータを整理・保存し参照可能な形で公開する新しいアーカイブ手法が必要である。本研究ではコンピュテーショナル・デザインの先駆者として国内外で認知されている建築家・葉祥栄（1940～）の建築資料と作品を対象として、デジタル時代の建築設計資料をアーカイブする方法を実践的に構築する。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, focusing on the architectural materials of architect Shoei Yoh (1940-), I conducted research on the organization and public dissemination of documentation related to pioneering digital design architectural works. Regarding the organization of materials, I practically engaged in reading born-digital documents, understanding metadata, developing cataloging and finding aids for born-digital data, and verifying long-term data preservation. For public dissemination, I held exhibitions utilizing digital twins and 3D printing, practically examining methods uniquely suited for sharing pioneering digital design works. Furthermore, in the process of conducting these archive studies, I accumulated architectural-historical insights into early digital design works and presented our findings at international conferences.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
戦後日本は建築デザインの分野において世界トップレベルの成果を上げており、1990年代以降の日本現代建築のアーカイブズを構築することは、これからの近代建築史と建築アーカイブズ学における重要課題である。このような中、コンピュテーショナル・デザインの先駆者として国内外で認知されている建築家・葉祥栄(1940-)の建築資料と作品を対象として、デジタル時代の建築設計資料をアーカイブする方法を実践的に構築することの意義は深い。また、その過程で明らかになる建築史的な知見は、デジタル建築史学の単著を切り開くものとして重要である。
