Outline of Research at the Start

新触媒の開発を基盤とする物質変換反応の開発研究は、医薬品、機能性材料、高分子などの物質を創製するための基盤研究であり、経済的に見合うレベルで有用化合物を安定供給するだけでなく、利用可能な天然炭素資源をバランスよく活用できる産業基盤の確立や環境調和性に優れていることが強く求められている。還元剤由来の塩の副生を伴わない概念的に新しい有機ケイ素還元剤を用いることにより、固体表面上に担持した前周期遷移金属錯体を温和な条件下で還元することにより発生する低原子価種を活性種とする新触媒反応を開発することを目的とする。
