Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The large part of the prehistoric cultural stratigraphy has been established based on the studies of architectural remains and layers and scientific analysis of excavated artefacts at Kaman-Kalehoyuk. The chronology includes those cultures like the Ottoman Empire - the Hittite Empire which played certain crucial roles in the history. During the course of rebuilding the cultural chronology, there have been new and important findings and views of the Dark Age ranging from the collapse of the Hittite Empire in the early 12th century B.C. to the middle of the 8th century B.C., the period of migration of the Indo-Europeans to Anatolia, production of iron and so forth which have been issues of Anatolian archaeology. Knowing that many institutions abroad have asked information on the cultural chronology, it is sure that this research will be very influential on future studies of archaeology in prehistoric Anatolia and the Middle East.
