Research Abstract |
We have developed a win-win relation between the research on molecular conductors/magnets and organic electronics. (1) The transient photocurrent of organic photocells was successfully interpreted in terms of cooperative phenomena between surface charge separation and bulk polarization. By using this guiding principle, effective optoelectronic conversion for NIR light was realized. (2) We studied the electric-double-layer (EDL) organic transistors with ionic liquids, using organic robust thin films. The transistor threshold voltages for carrier injections were found to be governed by the anion species of the ionic liquids. (3) We synthesized the novel anion radicals with strong coordination ability. The structural analysis and magnetic measurements for their metal salts, revealed multi-dimensional network structures and unusual magnetic properties such as high-temperature weak ferromagnetism.
