Research Abstract |
We performed time series monitoring of burned dermal collagen fiber using collagen-sensitive second-harmonic-generation (SHG) microscopy. SHG images of dermal collagen fiber significantly varied depending on the degree of the skin burn, indicating a potential for an optical burn assessment. Furthermore, we successfully observed the dynamics of wound healing process from the viewpoint of collagen.
