Research Abstract |
The photoinduced periodic nanostructure can be observed in the focus region after the femtosecond laser irradiation. Such nanostructure indicates optical anisotropy, namely, form birefringence. We demonstrated the control of phase retardation under the double-pulse configuration by using acoustic optic phase dispersion filter (AOPDF). Compared to the conventional single pulse train, the photoinduced phase retardation by the double-pulse train is much larger, in spite of the same irradiated energy.
