Research Abstract |
Our interdisciplinary study on the characteristics of the soprano voice contributed to a large number of the involved study areas, including phonetics, acoustics, physics, medical science, singing performance, teaching singing, musicology and music therapy. Moreover, as the study has progressed, the results have improved the comprehensive “interdisciplinary research” beyond the framework of the individual study fields. The results of the past three years have led to an expanded study currently being pursued as a new research study grant, funded by a Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research(C)25370117 entitled “Investigation of physical awareness during singing through visualization of vocal organs using MRI and acoustic analysis”.
