Research Abstract |
In Japan, problems in franchise relationship are more and more concerned and number of antimonopoly lawsuit involving franchise is increasing in recent years, especially after JFTC’s cease and desist order in 2011. Compare to other east Asian countries, JFTC’s enforcement on franchisors’ abuse of superior bargaining position is more active but is not yet sufficient.
