Research Abstract

This research studied the processes of creation and dissemination of global ‘normative ideas’ especially by shedding light on interactions of international and domestic levels. The study is based on primary sources including interviews with those who participated in such norm making/ diffusion processes. Detailed case studies on responsibility to protect, transitional justice and human security demonstrated that to build a model with explanatory power we have to pay attention not only to a transnational level as previous researches have emphasized but also to interactive processes of both levels.
