Research Abstract |
We have carried out the research and development of system for simultanious measurement of 2.45 and 14 MeV neutrons for research on fast ion transport. We preceded the project with the issues observed in the previous experiments in mind by developing new hardwares and softwares, and evaluating the hardwares in experiments. Then, the following knowledgebase to improve the diagnostics system has been obtained: the characteritics of pulse height variation, so called “gain variation”, the characteristics of sintillator detectors, the technologies on the fast pulse-shape processing. We have also proposed the multi-stage detection system based on the knowledgebase, and proved the capability through experiments using a neutron beam at the FNS facility.
