Research Abstract |
Analyzing two works of a Congolese choreographer Faustin Linyekula, we show the past colonial-particularly linguistic-domination of the West on colonized people is decisive for their identity formation. Our reading of Le delegrement du monde of a Lebanese writer Amin Maalouf shows that his reflection on the globalization is helpful when we try to understand actual conflicts between the West and the Arab-Islamic World.
