Research Abstract |
Oxides with remarkable oxygen intake/release capability are called "oxygen storage materials(OSMs)" which have attracted increased attention as potential candidates for energy production/environmental applications. The present work was aimed to search for new OSMs among transition-metal oxides. In this project, two manganese-based OSMs, BaYMn_2O_<5+δ> and Ca_2(AlxMn_<1-x>)_2O_<5+δ>, were developed and their oxygen intake/release mechanism was studied.
