Research Abstract |
To elucidate the mechanisms modulating the feeding motivation in insects, we have identified approximately ten peptidyl factors involving novel factors from the silkworm, Bombyx mori. In addition, we found that the expression levels of these receptors fluctuate according to feeding states. This project can provide an idea to elucidate the neural network controlling feeding behavior in insects.
