Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は,学習者の学習状況を学習トピック単位で理解することで個別最適な情報推薦を行うデータ駆動型教育を実現する.①教育学習を学習トピック単位で記録する密センシング手法,②教育学習活動の文脈を把握する深層的活動分析手法,③行動変容を促す説得性を持ったフィードバック手法について研究を進める.大学教育の実践の場でデータ駆動PDCAサイクルの実証実験を実施し,研究成果の有用性と有効性を検証するとともに,成果を国内外に広く展開する.

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究は,データ駆動型教育を実現するための高密度学習分析基盤の構築と評価を行う.学習者の学習状況を学習トピック単位で理解することで個別最適な情報推薦を行うデータ駆動型教育を実現する.ここで,学習トピックとは,科目内で学習する概念や学習項目,学習キーワードなどの構成要素を指す.そのために,①教育学習を学習トピック単位で記録する密センシング手法,②教育学習活動の文脈を把握する深層的活動分析手法,③行動変容を促す説得性を持ったフィードバック手法について研究を進める.数千人が集う大学教育の実践の場で,リアルタイム支援,授業の実施回毎の支援,授業期間毎の支援の3つの時間粒度でデータ駆動PDCAサイクルの実証実験を実施し,研究成果の有用性と有効性を検証するとともに,学習分析技術や基盤システム,エビデンスをオープン化して成果を国内外に広く展開する.
2023年度は,PC搭載のカメラ映像から視線を推定し,デジタル教材閲覧時の注視領域の推定ならびに領域内の学習トピックの特定を行う手法を開発した.また,次年度の本実験に向けて,少数名による予備実験を実施して精度検証と改良を進めた.また,デジタル教材の内容を分析し,関連情報を提示したり,理解状況に応じて難易度の異なる確認テストを提供したりするための基盤技術の開発を進めた.さらに,学習ダッシュボードシステムの改良を進め,生成AI技術を組み合わせることで,分析結果に対しての解釈・理解を促進するための説明文を付与する仕組みの検討と,プロトタイプ実装を行った.

研究計画としてあげている「学習活動密センシング」,「横断・学習分析/深層・学習分析」,「説得力のある情報推薦」について,当初計画通り技術開発やシステム開発が進んでおり,さらに生成AIを利用した新しい仕組みについても並行して研究開発を進めている.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

引き続き,研究計画に沿い技術開発と精度検証を行うとともに,生成AIの活用の可能性も並行して検討しつつ,現場での実証実験を進める.
