Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、発生段階の筋・脂肪細胞に分化可能な幹細胞同定し、その分化経路を明らかにすることで個体の筋脂肪比を制御するメカニズムの解明を行う。得られた知見は本研究で明らかとなる分化系譜をリファレンスとして、肉量の増加や、培養肉生産法など新しい畜産産業創生のみならず、肥満予防や食品サプリメント開発など、健康科学・食品科学分野への応用が期待できる。
