Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は「慢性ストレスは、特定の神経核でK+チャネル発現を変化させ、その核の興奮性を変化させることで、うつ様行動をきたす」という仮説を検討する。我々は予備実験で、マウスに慢性ストレスを負荷した後、行動実験を行いストレス感受性にうつ様行動を示す個体と、ストレス抵抗性でうつ様行動を示さない個体に分け、免疫染色によって様々な脳部位での興奮性を比較し、興奮性に違いがある神経核を探索し、この興奮性の違いを生じさせたK+チャネルを明らかにし、うつ様行動との因果関係を解明することを目指す。
